Rookwood Schools inaugural literary festival week was a huge success, with pupils across the school enjoying workshops, visiting authors, poets and journalists.
Illustrator Liz Million amazed the children in the Rookery with her fantastic drawings; David and Helen Orme and John Harris had pupils on the edge of their seats with their fascinating stories. On the last day, Rookery and Paddocks staff and pupils came to school dressed as their favourite story characters from Harry Potter to the Grinch to Snow White.
Headmistress Margaret Langley said: This was our first Literary Festival and its been a great way for our pupils at Rookwood to learn about novels, poetry and the art of creative writing.
