Michelin star chefs bring a taste of the Waterside Inn to Royal Ascots Panoramic Restaurant

For the second year running, British institution, Royal Ascot, welcomes the three Michelin starred restaurant, the Waterside Inn, run by Chef Patron Alain Roux, to the Panoramic Restaurant. A true match of excellence, the partnership of these world class icons will combine the thrilling race atmosphere with elegant food in chic surroundings, creating a must-visit destination for food connoisseurs.

Bringing award-winning French fine dining into the heart of the action, Alain will contribute his creative culinary skills with a bespoke signature menu showcasing the freshest seasonal produce. Featuring a range of delectable dishes, racegoers will enjoy a truly indulgent experience with classic combinations of French cuisine, finished off with their famous contemporary touch.

Famed for their creative techniques and superb service, Alain and Diego Masciaga (Director and General Manager), will offer an array of gastronomic goodies such as chorizo and almond palmiers with pepper salsa to start, poached fillets of sole flavoured with tarragon, morels and vin jaune sauce for main, and an indulgent dessert of chocolate roulade with raspberries and melba sauce leaving diners truly charmed and longing for more.

Whilst Royal Ascot is famed for its racing and fashion, food also plays an important part in the overall experience, and this is something we want contribute to. For five days only, well be showcasing our latest culinary creations from the Waterside Inn, bringing the finest cuisine, wine and ambience all to one place. Comments Alain Roux, Chef Patron of the Waterside Inn, "On a personal level, we have always been huge fans of Royal Ascot, with my father attending the Royal Meeting each year since he took the helm of the Waterside Inn in 1972.

The elegant, contemporary Waterside Inn hotel and award winning restaurant, sits in a perfect position in the 16th century village of Bray, on the bank of the River Thames. Awarded in 1985, and holding the unbroken accolade of three Michelin stars longer than any other restaurant in Britain, the Waterside Inn has enjoyed huge success, always offering the finest of foods and wines in beautiful surroundings.

Chefs Michel and Alain Rouxs menu are available for lunch during the Royal Ascot Week (Tuesday 14th June Saturday 18th June 2011). Reservations can be made on 0870 727 4321 or email
