Starry nights:
Southampton’s award winning bar and restaurant, The White Star Tavern & Dining Rooms has been completely transformed and is reopening later this month with luxurious guest accommodation and newly refurbished restaurant and bar.
The White Star, in Oxford Street in the heart of Southampton’s historic maritime district, was previously a seafarers hotel. There is more than a nod to its unique history, location and previous uses – all rooms are named after ships that sailed in the famous White Star Line.
The a la carte menu offes classic modern British cuisine with an emphasis on fresh, seasonal, local produce, plus bar snacks and lighter meals.
