We’ve compiled some of Hampshire’s sports clubs where you can develop your skills over the New Year


Eastleigh RFC

Eastleigh RFC welcomes players of all abilities and has some of the finest facilities in Hampshire.



Alton RFC

Anstey Park, Anstey Lane, Alton, GU34 2NB; 01420 82076.

Alton RFC has a proud tradition and a well respected reputation gained over many years since the ‘Alton and District Rugby Football Club’ was formed in 1924.



Farnborough RUFC

Tilebarn Close, Cove, Farnborough, GU14 8LS; 01252 542750.

Rugby at Farnborough is for all, three male senior sides - firsts, seconds and veterans and a ladies side as well as mini and junior rugby for under sevens through to colts.



Trojans RFC

Stoneham Lane, Eastleigh, SO50 9HT; 02380 613068.

Trojans RFC is comprised of teams from under 7 all the way to 4 senior men’s sides and 2 ladies teams.




Wickham Tennis Club

Heatherdene, Turkey Island, Shedfield, Southampton, SO32 2JE; 01329 835019

The Club is new and will be aiming to offer membership and coaching to all ages, everyone will be made very welcome.



The Avenue Lawn Tennis and Squash and Fitness Club

The Avenue Lawn Tennis, Squash & Fitness Club is a not-for-profit members club for tennis, squash, racketball, table tennis, fitness and social activities.



Basset Lawn Tennis Centre

Basset LTC, Wilton Road, Shirley, Southampton, SO15 5JT; 02380 774694.

The club, which is one of the leading centres in Hampshire has teams in all the local leagues and enough teams to accommodate men and women of all standards in mixed, men’s and women’s teams.



Warsash Tennis Club

79 Old Turnpike, Fareham, PO16 7HF

Situated in the pleasant surroundings of the recreation ground in Warsash village, the club facilities include four floodlit all-weather hard courts with a small and friendly clubhouse.




Locks Heath Cricket Club

419 Warsash Rd, Locks Heath, PO14 4JX

Locks Heath Cricket Club is a friendly cricket club located just outside of Fareham. There are 3 men’s teams playing on a Saturday in the Hampshire Leagues whilst also having a thriving junior section (aged 7-15, Boys and Girls).



Chawton Cricket Club

Chawton Cricket Club has an idyllic setting close to the church of St Nicholas, Chawton House and the Greyfriars Pub. They are a small but thriving village cricket club near Alton in North East Hampshire.



Basingstoke and North Hants Cricket Club

Basingstoke and North Hants Cricket club is one of the premier clubs in Hampshire with a Focus club status. There is a very busy cricket programme each summer with 5 senior sides.



Bashley Rydal Cricket Club

A community club, located on the edge of the New Forest, providing a safe and friendly environment for players of all ages to enjoy the game of cricket.




The Hampshire Golf Club

Winchester Road, Goodworth Clatford, Andover, SP11 7TB; 01264 356462.

Founded in 1993, it is set in 240 acres of rolling Hampshire countryside in the famous Test Valley. The undulating land provides wonderful views.



South Winchester Golf Club

Romsey Road, Pitt, Winchester, SO22 5QX; 01962 877800.

Set around six lakes in beautiful Hampshire countryside, the course offers Golfers of all abilities the exciting challenge of a Championship Golf Course.



Southwood Golf Club

Farnborough Golf Club is a picturesque and tightly tree lined course providing an enjoyable and challenging test ideal for beginners and low handicappers alike.



Blacknest Golf and Country Club

Blacknest Golf and Country Club are pleased to welcome members, visitors and societies. We are open to the public on a pay and play basis, or for those wishing to play more regularly there are numerous membership options
