Archant

The Isle of Wight might be relatively small in terms of area, but it’s certainly packed with things to do, views and the odd festival...

1. To kick things off, it’s home to the Isle of Wight Festival - which has attracted some pretty big names…

2. … really, really big names.

3. If you travel by ferry, you’ll either arrive here at Cowes…

4. …or just down the road at Fishbourne.

5. Or are you flying in?

6. Because if you are, the views are simply sensational!

7. Head inland and you’ll be blessed with views across the island like this.

8. But if you’re more a fan of the coast, we guess you’re covered for views there too…

9. Half the island is protected as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. And it’s easy to tell why.

10. Come on, how can you not visit a place also known as Dinosaur Island?

11. We’ve already mentioned the music, but it’s home to some more amazing events.

12. Now it’s time to head down to one the island’s most famous locations …

13. … The Needles

14. There’s all sorts on offer at Robin Hill Country Park.

15. No caption is needed for this one!

16. We’ve barely scratched the surface with the beautiful towns and villages such as Godshill,

17. Ventnor…

18. … and Yarmouth.

19. You’ll be spoilt for choice when eating out with a range of restaurants…

20. … and pubs.

21. So what are you waiting for? Take a trip to the beautiful Isle of Wight…

22. … the locals are very welcoming!
