With a new horse in training and extensive membership pack, 2013 looks to be an exciting year for the Birdcage Racing Club syndicate

The birdcage racing club has joined forces with former equestrian sportswoman Madeleine Lloyd Webber to purchase the racing rights of Darting. Darting is a beautiful filly by the very successful stallion Shamardal and from a blue blood family that has produced multiple Group 1 winners Dar Re Mi and Rewilding. She will be trained at Andrew Baldings yard, Park House stables in Newbury. Lady Lloyd Webber has kindly agreed to share her extensive knowledge of horseracing and breeding with the club’s members by becoming patron.

The news follows an extremely successful 2012 for The Birdcage Racing Club in which members followed the exploits of Usain Colt, who ended last year in fine form, with third- and fourth-place finishes at Folkestone and Kempton respectively.

This year, Birdcage members can enjoy the thrill of entering into horse ownership with a high-class filly with a great chance of winning. Birdcage members can enjoy access to all race meetings where Darting is running as well as regular newsletter and email updates on her progress, while winnings are divided between members.

Membership for the 2013 Flat season costs £250 and features an exciting array of benefits further to ownership syndication. Including a tour of John Warren’s Stud Farm Highclere, two Premier Admission tickets to four Ascot meetings throughout the Flat season, including the Betfair Weekend, King George Day and the Dubai Duty Free Shergar Cup, as well as access to a Birdcage bar area on each occasion. During Royal Ascot, members will have access to the Birdcage Marquee, a fashionable, fun and glamorous destination complete with cocktails and DJ on the Saturday of the event, one of the most sought-after tickets in town.

Put simply, the Birdcage is perfect for all those looking to extend an interest in racing and breeding. It is the ultimate opportunity to learn more and get involved alongside like-minded people.
