A woolly weekend
Following the great success of Farnham Maltings first unravel festival last year, they have announced another event taking place on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 of February, from 10am to 5pm/4pm.
unravel is a chance to see, hear, share and wonder at all things woollen. There will be an opportunity to hear a range of talks, see demonstrations and take part in workshops.

Fun with falcons
Sir Harold Hillier Gardens near Romsey is holding a Falconry Photography Workshop on February 6, from 10am to 4.30pm.
This is a wonderful opportunity to photograph birds of prey in flight, working and posed in their natural habitat. Fabulous Hawks and Falcons, plus Joe the Kestrel and European Eagle Owl Amber will be your models for the day!
The workshop costs 85 and includes lunch and refreshments. Booking is essential on 01794 369319.



Special package to see The Real Van Gogh
The Athenaeum in London has partnered with the Royal Academy of Arts to provide a bespoke Arts & Culture Weekend package including one nights stay at the Athenaeum and tickets to the much anticipated exhibition, The Real Van Gogh: The Artist and His Letters.
The exhibition runs until April 18 in the main gallery at the Royal Academy of Arts. Over 35 original letters will be on display together with 65 paintings and 30 drawings that express the principle themes to be found within the correspondence.
This will be the first major Van Gogh exhibition in London for over 40 years and offers a unique opportunity to gain an insight into the mind of Vincent van Gogh.
The special Athenaeums Arts & Culture Weekend package starts from 180 per night for a double room, including two tickets to The Real Van Gogh: The Artist and His Letters.

A taste of Cuba
Pasion de Buena Vista, a music and dance experience that is taking Europe by storm is at The Anvil in Basingstoke on February 14. Pasin De Buena Vista leads you to the streets of the Pearl of the Caribbean, so that you can experience the unspoiled rawness and joy of Cuban life. The show features three top Cuban singers, dancers from the world famous Tropicana Club in Havana and an eight-piece live band, as well as beautiful costumes, stage-backdrop and breathtaking projections.

Religion meets musical theatre
Encore Youth Theatre will be performing Godspell at Theatre Royal Winchester from Wednesday 17 to Saturday 20 February.
Conceived and originally directed by John-Michael Tebelak, this funny, heartfelt, and poignant show brings tales from the Gospels and the parables of Jesus to hilarious and heartrending life.
Featuring a vibrant and unforgettable score, including All Good Gifts and Day By Day, this is a story of community and communion, tragedy and harmony one of the greatest rock musicals of all time.
