Join the Hawk Conservancy Trust, Andover for a totally magical experience which sees two night-time flying demonstrations featuring several species of owl - wide awake and at their best! Owls by Moonlight Evenings are held on Friday and Saturday evenings and include a hot supper. Dont forget to wrap up warm and bring a torch. Tel. 01264 773850




Ghostly Going-ons!

This autumn, The Vyne near Basingstoke is running its first ever evening ghost tours, in association with Twilight Tours. These tours offer a unique opportunity to explore the spooky and spiritual side of the former Tudor powerhouse and quiz the experts! Heritage Open Days

Celebrating Englands wonderful architecture, history and culture, Heritage Open Days feature properties not normally open to the public. Highlights include a chance to visit the honeymoon villa of the composer Elgar which is part of a row of villas that will be open to the public in Alexandra Gardens, Ventnor. Tel. 08443 351884




Something for Teenagers

Queen Elizabeth Country Park will be hosting Butserfest 2011, an alcohol and drug-free event aimed at 14-20 year olds. Welsh rockers Funeral For A Friend will headline the best local and national up-and-coming bands, plus free activities. Food and refreshments will also be available. Tel. 02392 595040




Boutique market


September 18

After the success of the Southsea Boutique Market, the indoor fair is coming to the Guildhall, Portsmouth. Market goers can explore the two grand rooms, where there will be something for everyone from jewellery to vintage clothing.



Historic talks

Pulse

Back by popular demand, this years Pulse Festival will be taking place at Sunnyfields Farm, near Southampton. Last years festival featured a stellar line up of artists and this year is set to be bigger and better with two live stages, as well as local ale, cider and wine, a farmers market and childrens area.
