A Victorian christmas


November 19 to 20


Experience the spirit of a traditional Victorian Christmas at Osborne House, Isle of Wight this month. The house will be transformed into a festive Victorian scene with the sumptuous ground floor rooms bedecked with festive decorations, including colourful trees decorated in the style favoured by Prince Albert. Marvel at the Singing Chimney Sweeps; enjoy the period fairground stalls and Queen Victoria herself. Father Christmas might make an appearance too, if youve been good! Tel. 0870 3331181

Ghost walk


November 6


Join the Portsmouth Tourism Guiding Service this month and hear all about the murders and mysteries of Old Portsmouth as they take you on a haunted walk. The Square Tower in Old Portsmouth will be open for viewing and refreshments before the walk starts at 2.30pm. Art fund xmas fair

The annual Hampshire Art Fund Christmas Fair will be held at Hockley House, Cheriton by kind permission of Mrs Luciana Moretti. Browse a wonderful range of stalls packed full of Christmas gifts, including crafts, local produce and Art Fund merchandise. Dont forget to take a gamble on the Tombola! With light refreshments and wine available. Entrance donation is 5 and includes access to the gardens.
