Spice ‘n’ Easy was founded in 2003 by me, Claire Lee in the kitchen of my home, has grown organically and now occupies a 240m² purpose fitted out unit with kitchen and stock room a few minutes from my home.
During the early 90’s I spent 2 years spent living and travelling in Malaysia and the Far East. Whilst there I learnt the basics of matching spices and chillis to otherwise ordinary ingredients, to end up with wonderful tasting dishes.
I started Spice’n’Easy using up excess product from a local farm in the New Forest. Throughout the growth of Spice’n’Easy I have always used locally grown ingredients where ever possible be it from commercial growers or the gardens of local home owners which allows me to carry the New Forest Marque which I value very much. I combine these ingredients with exotic herbs and spices from around the world and have created a range of savoury preserves including Chutneys, Pickles, Dressings Marinades Curry Pastes and Sauces. The products are made by hand in small batches. All my products are free from artificial additives and preservatives.
Spice’n’Easy products have been awarded One, Two and Three Gold Stars in the last two years at the Great Taste Awards.

I was a finalist in the 2012 Brilliance in Business Awards and 2013 Hampshire Life Awards and I am a Director on the board of the New Forest Marque.
I supply independent and online food retailers, farm shops, delicatessens and butchers. I also supply pubs, restaurants, yacht clubs and cafes some of whom along with a growing number of catering companies use the products in dishes on their menus. Spice’n’Easy products can be found in shops and on menus in Hampshire, Wiltshire and Dorset from Chandlers Ford to Salisbury to Christchurch. I also sell directly at local markets and events including the New Forest Show.
