It was an evening full of inspiration and hopes for the future of the countryside, when the beautiful millennium hall at Itchen Abbas was packed for the Campaign to Protect Rural England's Hampshire Countryside Awards ceremony recently.

It was an evening full of inspiration and hopes for the future of the countryside, when the beautiful millennium hall at Itchen Abbas was packed for the Campaign to Protect Rural Englands Hampshire Countryside Awards ceremony recently.

Teams from rural businesses, community groups and youth projects attended, with corporate sponsors Steves Leaves and SmithsGore. The guest of honour was the Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire, Dame Mary Fagan DCVO JP, who presented the awards.
