We’ve all spent many an enjoyable summer’s evening in a beer garden or at a friends for a BBQ, but they all just seem so… typical
What if you could still spend those balmy summer evenings outdoors with your friends, but not in the back yard of a pub, but instead in a field, with the most stunning views of the South Downs National Park? What if you then add in a classic movie and a bar stocked with exquisite cocktails and local ales? That’s exactly what Chris Horn of Droxford thought when he established Film on a Farm in 2015.
Now into the 2nd year, Film on a Farm is storming ahead, with 10 screenings already planned.
Last year people were invited to watch two films over two nights enjoying the Kevin Costner classic Robin Hood Prince of Thieves and, to celebrate the launch of the Rugby World Cup 2015, the brilliant Invictus with an exclusive pre-film interview with the rugby legend Lawrence Dallaglio.
Chris is hugely passionate about rural life and one of the great things for him about Film on a Farm is the ability to offer such an enjoyable night out for people who live in the countryside as well enabling people from urban backgrounds to come and share in the beautiful countryside surroundings.
Film on a Farm season starts this year with Top Gun on the 27 May at the home farm in Droxford. They are also showing Mamma Mia, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Lion King, Notting Hill and Grease. You can visit www.filmonafarm.co.uk for more details on venues and dates throughout the UK.
