Theatre on the Lawn -August 18

This summer, Norton Park Hotel, near Winchester is launching Theatre on the Lawn. As part of the series, Heartbreak Productions will be presenting Shakespeares The Taming of the Shrew. Big games Weekend -August 6 to 7

Following last years success, the Big Game Weekend is back by popular demand. Once again the National Museum of the Royal Navy will transform Victory Arena at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard into a house of nautical fun and games. Men in Tights - August 20

The Lord Chamberlains Men present A Midsummer Nights Dream at The Vyne, near Basingstoke. Join the all male cast as they unfold this magical comedy about four young lovers, a group of amateur actors and their interactions with the fairies who inhabit an enchanted forest.

Regency Wonderment -August 5

Polish Culture -August 29 to 31

Slask will soon be dancing its way to the Mayflower, Southampton. Celebrating the cultural legacy of Poland, this song and dance act features 90 dancers, musicians and singers, and over 1,200 hand-made costumes. Wartime Memories - August 3

Childrens Theatre -August 24

Needle work -August 6 to 26

The Allen Gallery, Alton will be showcasing Threading through History, an exhibition from textile artists Force 8. Inspired by the Gallerys collection, it features printing, painting, slashing, burning and stitching on paper and fabric, along with traditional embroidery and felt-making. Tel. 08456 035635

New Forest Art -Until September 2011

Having worked in pencil and watercolour for many years, Evelyn Bartlett has revived a style she first developed at college, using gouache. See her latest works, inspired by the New Forest, in The Bold and the Beautiful Forest at the New Forest Centre, Lyndhurst.

Flower Power - August 6 to 7

August welcomes the return of the largest horticultural show on the Isle of Wight. Now in its 88th year, the Chale Show features over 1200 exhibits. Fancy a cuppa? -Until September 11

How much do you know about the nations favourite brew? Discover Teas history at Winchesters Discovery Centre. The Tea Tales Exhibition explores the dark episodes of Tea smuggling as well as the high pressure world of tea trading. Visitors will learn how tea is grown and blended, and witness Hampshires finest collection of all things tea from teapots and caddies to tea cosies and tea gowns, plus meet characters at the Mad Hatters tea party table.
